AUTOMATED SHELVING

Automated or Power Files make use of available overhead space in order to store large numbers of records in a central location.   Due to its automated keypad-driven retrieval system, employees save time and effort searching for records--they're delivered in seconds!  Power Files can also be designed to work in conjunction with bar-code and/or PC-based file tracking systems as well, so the location of needed information is never in question.

Power Files range in height from 7'5" to 20'7".   They can accommodate a variety of different media sizes, including letter and legal size filing folders (both end and top tab), microfilm, CD-ROM, hanging folders, check storage, various sizes of cards, and other media.  There are many different configurations available to meet a wide range of filing and storage applications, and custom configurations are available to accommodate special needs.

Power Files are fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and are well suited for organizations employing the disabled.   Power Files eliminate unnecessary motions, are easy to operate, and the control panel is located at a convenient height so the physically challenged can easily operate the unit.

Benefits:

  • Split roll-out suspension shelf design easily accommodates either hanging folders or top tab files.
  • Microprocessor control automatically chooses the shortest route to the selected shelf level.
  • Space saving footprint.  The Power File measures only 35 square feet, yet provides capacity up to 17,000 lineal filing inches.
  • Ease of maintenance.  Service is from the front, allowing units to be placed side to side and back to back.
  • ADA compliance offers easy accessibility to physically challenged operators.
Filing efficiency and increased productivity are what companies look for when selecting the most effective filing systems.  For additional information on power files and models available, please contact:
